Hello, all – hopeful writers, potential clients, & publishing professionals,

Welcome to goodkwento with Noelle, where “kwento” means story, so hence – a space of good story. This is my personal professional hub of all things publishing. You’ll find all of my offerings from what type of projects I take on, who the clients are that I represent, the type of editorial practice I have, and both my expectations and responsibilities as an agent.

In “Thoughts on Navigating the Publishing Field,” I offer advice for those hoping to enter the publishing world. I entered this field three years ago with absolutely no prior knowledge for how to navigate or, even, how to understand how the field functions. 

Luckily for me, I was able to learn through various organizations and offerings, and through countless conversations with helpful individuals willing to give their time. But even now, I am astounded by how little information is readily available to hopeful publishing professionals, so through tracking my own trajectory and speaking towards both gains and hardships I’ve come across, I hope to shed light on some of the nuances of this particular field. 

In “Advice for Practicing Writers,” I offer helpful suggestions  for writers at varying stages of their career. I’ve worked in a literary adjacent field for ten years, I hold an MFA myself, I am a practicing writer as well, and I’m now in the field of publishing with various veins of expertise! From how to develop a writing practice to building literary community to crafting a strong query letter and more, I try to demystify the process of securing an agent and becoming a published writer.
